PREREQUISITE: ESL 645/845 or placement by ESL Assessment test
LET US SHOW YOU HOW TO UNDERSTAND AND BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE U.S. JOB MARKET.
No matter what your academic and career goals are, all students should consider taking these courses. These six courses will improve your English communication skills and teach you what you need for career success. Knowledge of American culture, business and job-hunting strategies will increase your confidence and help you to reach your academic and career goals.
ESLV 270 Intercultural Communication (The Cultures around You)
ESLV 271 Social Interaction Skills (Conversation & Speaking)
ESLV 272 Occupational Communication Skills (How to Get the Job You Want)
ESLV 273 Grammar Skills (Practice by Doing)
ESLV 274 Reading Skills (American History & Culture)
ESLV 275 Occupational Writing Skills (Business Letters & Punctuation)
All 270 courses are 18-week courses, 6 hours/week
Elective Credit toward AA or AS degree may be earned in all 270 classes
Take only the ones you need for personal improvement, or take all six and receive a Certificate of Completion.
